James Creissen is an artist and photographer from Chapel Hill, NC. Through his photography, drawing and writing James seeks to document the built American landscape, and specifically the American South. He is interested in the central role that mobility and the road play in the American landscape. The way that built landscape reflects the values and practices of American culture is an ongoing fascination for James. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2019 and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.
